PRAYER FOR CATECHISTS
Loving God,
From the beginning you have raised
up among us holy men and women to guide us and teach us
along your way of truth. Again today, you have called
forth from this community of faith men and women willing
and able to give witness to your love and truth.
We ask that you strengthen them and
give them the courage they need to be catechists.
Open our hearts so that through
them, we may better know and follow your life of love.
Amen.
UPDATE CLASSES
Update classes are being offered
for children second grade or older who have not attended
Religious Education in the past or are not up to date on
the sacraments (Baptism, Eucharist or Reconciliation).
Please call the CCE
Office for more information and to register.
VIRTUS
Bishop Fiorenza has
mandated all employees and volunteers who have regular
contact with children under the age of 18 to attend a
“Protecting God’s Children for Adults” workshop. The
workshop is a three hour long session. Sacred Heart/St.
John Fisher will be offering this workshop.
If you are presently a
volunteer or plan to volunteer in any capacity, please
plan on attending one of the workshops.
Pre-registration is
required. Classes fill up quick so please register as
soon as possible. Promptness is essential. No one is
allowed to enter after the workshop begins. A Criminal
Background Check Authorization Form is included in the
workshop packet and must be completed by each
participant to receive credit for attending the VIRTUS
class.
